I have already posted the same problme under this heading:

I was going to give this plugin a minus, but got redirected here (again). As I have received no replies up until now I am not sure what is left for me to do.

I had the same issue on an accountancy blog. Solution was to:
1) Deactivate plugin
2) Delete plugin - including all files
3) Go to add new plugin, and search for WPtouch
4) Install latest version of WPtouch
Now it works. Somehow the files in the plugin directory must have got messed up last time I upgraded WPtouch.

FYI - I am having issues with this again on our accountants in reading website.
I have seen situations where normal PCs (ie. non mobile devices) get a WPtouch mobile theme. I have also seen when mobile devices (eg. iPhone 3 or 4) gets the regular theme.
And finally I have seen it when you try to turn off the mobile theme manually with the on/off button that nothing happens.
I am starting to think it may be to do with (browser) caching. But I need this to keep my site fast.
So for now I have had to completely disable this plugin.

The problem has to do with caching.
I used the plugin on my site at http://www.nodeju.com and for a while it worked like it was suppose to.
As I got more visitors my site degraded in speed and my hosting company suggested I install the W3Total cache program.
After I did that I noticed that WPTouch sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't.
To test my theory I disabled W3Total and sure enough WPTouch worked. Enabled the cache plugin and WPtouch became erratic.
Interestingly enough I do not get an error from either plugin and I have no clue how to reconfigure W3Total to make it work with WPtouch or if another cache program is available that works with it.

UPDATE:
I added a list of rejection agents to page cache and minify under W3T and that seems to do the trick. WPTouch is now working fine.

If you're running W3 Total Cache or any other cache plugin, please make sure that you are configuring to work with WPtouch by adding the list of mobile user agents WPtouch supports to the 'rejected user agents' area.
You can find the list in the WPtouch admin panel.

Hi, I'm having the same problem displaying the mobile theme on my site http://www.everintransit.com . I'm using WPTouch and W3 Total Cache.
I just added the following list to the 'rejected user agents' section of W3TC then cleared the caches and it's still not displaying the mobile them on my iphone.
Any advice?

We're seeing WPtouch enabled and functioning on the url posted. Are you able to reproduce the issue? Does it persist when W3 Total Cache is purged and disabled?

It was mysteriously working again last night, but I just checked right now on my iphone and it's not working again. I haven't made any changes to the site since I last wrote. Any idea what is going on?

Hi everintransit,
Things look fine at our end at the moment and it looks like the mobile user agent list has been excluded in W3TC (per the footprint in the source).
Please clear the cookies and data on your device to make sure you're not viewing a locally cached version.
