   got a fatal error at first - deactivated it and activated again with success...

   but now, after building the index, i get a blank page after i search

   deactivated this plugin...

   Do you happen to have any plugins that manipulate search results installed? A plugin named "Custom Query String" tends to destroy search results by manipulating the query string that wpSearch uses.

   i do have CQS activated
