i'd like to set this up so users would need to like my facebook page, not the particular post that the download link is on. is this possible? thanks!

no it is not possible. Because than, the user can only like once on your hole page.

Thanks for getting back. Ok, so you're saying that they would be able to like the download / post page more than once? It's more valuable to me that I get folks to like my facebook page than the post page.
Maybe an idea for a future update?
This plugin is awesome by the way. Thanks for creating it!

can you say more about your situation? How many downloads you offer on your page? What should happen when a user already liked you page? etc.

hi there - sorry for the delay. right now i'm only offering one download on a certain post. i think i see what you're saying - if someone already liked my page on facebook previously & went to get the download, they wouldn't be able to...

I would also like the option to have this plugin work by liking a FB page, and not a URL. As vdsn mentioned, a "Like" on my facebook page is more valuable to me than a like on a URL, because URLs may change, but the facebook page is where I want the likes to show up.
If a user has already liked my FB page, then I'm fine with them having access to all FB-locked downloads. My plan is to offer one main download for FB likes, and everything else through tweets anyways.

@drumba - i see what you're saying about if someone already liked your page & you offer another download, they can't like it "again", but they can like another post...
