logicaljackI am running the WPDirectory Pro plugin, which is no longer supported. I have managed to get it working how I want, apart from 1 think.
I am assuming this is happening because its an older plugin, but every page (categories and listings) that the plugin creates is being marked as canonical.
This means that only 1 page (top level page) of the whole directory is being indexed which is not very good.
For the mean time I have disabled the WordPress built in canonical tagging, so it will at least be indexed. This is causing problems around other areas of the site though as duplicate content is being indexed.
I was wondering if there was an amendment I could make to the plugin so they aren't tagged as canonical? Or any other workaround so I can exclude that plugin from being marked with canonical pages?
Im not a developer so please keep that in mind when making suggestions :)
