[Plugin: WPBook] Problem with importing comments [2.1.2]

    HI John
    I upgraded the plugin as per instructions and got all permissions working. Everything looks fine in terms of posting to wall and page. However, it does not seem to be importing comments anymore (there have been a few comments). I have wpbook_debug.txt taking logs, but even that does not seem to show any error (it has definitely changed from 2.0.x).
    I see that it considers 10 posts, finds 4 meta-posts… but no comments in any of them.

    Any chance you know if this was working in 2.1 or 2.1.1?

    I know it is working on my test blog, but it seems like between the FBcommentslist is 1 and Number of comments for this post – 0 something is getting missed.

    I jumped directly from 2.0.x to 2.1.2, so I don’t know about 2.1 or 2.1.2 🙁

    I am having the same issue using 2.1.3 – It was working before the upgrade to 2.1.3 but now it posts to Wall and Page just fine…permissions look good but it is not importing any comments.

    At least I can see it’s not something I did. LOL.

    Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with comment importing.

    Just to help narrow down my troubleshooting, are you trying to import comments made against an individual profile’s wall, a fan page’s wall, an application page’s wall, a group page’s wall, or some combination of the above?

    Can you post, or email to me (eckman.john at gmail.com) your wpbook_debug.txt, which is created in your wpbook directory if you have “enable WPBook to create debug file” enabled in your wpbook settings?

    Looking at your wpbook_debug.txt, I see these references that are “interesting” – spots where WPBook has been able to post to FB and correctly retrieved a postID:

    That makes 4 posts to a user_stream and 4 posts to a page wall.

    Each of them is now a link to their representation in the Facebook graph.

    Which of them has comments you would expect to be imported? I can click on each too, but you will have a different result if you are logged in to FB when you do so (I think).

    Thanks a ton for looking into this. I have the setting at 10 days. When I installed the plugin the comments were less than a day old. It did not work back then. 🙁

    Oh and the comments I am referring to were on my personal wall. I just sent you a Facebook friend’s request so you can see that.

    Just checked in a change to wp-content/plugins/wpbook/includes/wp-cron.php which I think will fix the comment imports problem.

    Can you install the “development” version (in about 30 minutes) or grab the individual file here and replace the one in your install:

    That has corrected the problem for me. I am receiving comments from my facebook wall back to my blog.

    Thanks for the quick fix…I am assuming it will be pushed to an official update for everyone else?
