    Same thing here.

FIrst, thank you for making this!

It seems like I have everything figured out, except my posts don’t show up on my fan page wall. They DO show up in the application’s box on my fan page, which I can move to my wall to show a listing of recent posts, but that doesn’t put the posts in my stream nor allow commenting.

The permalinks on the app page work perfectly and new posts show up right away in the app, just not on my fan page’s stream.

    Am I missing something? Help?

It’s live on the left side of my fan page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Street-Smart-Comedy/142325581345

@middlemountain – not sure which issue you’re talking about here, as you mention permalink parsing issues but the title is about posting to fan page wall.

    1) Permalink issues. You’ve set your “canvas callback” url to http://durangorafting.com/blog/ not to http://durangorafting.com/ – why? This can cause a problem if the permalinks to your blog posts don’t also have as their root http://durangorafting.com/blog/. For example, one of your posts is http://durangorafting.com/durango-rafting-blog – WPBook is looking for that post at http://durangorafting.com/blog/durango-rafting-blog because it expects permalinks to begin with the canvas callback url.

    2) Posting to fan page. Have you granted the appropriate permissions using the link provided in the WPBook settings page? When you visit the permissions page, does it list the page you are trying to post to, and tell you that permission has been granted?

    @tobber, @girliegirl, @puns0steel:

If WPBook isn’t posting to your wall, or your fan page’s wall, you’ve likely got a permissions issue (or issues!).

    1. When you visit the “Grant Permissions” page link that is in the WPBook settings page inside WordPress, it will tell you your FB Profile ID, and it will list the Pages for which you are an admin, and for each of them whether permission has been granted or not.

If permission has not been granted, or the pages are not listed there, WPBook will not be able to publish to the appropriate stream. Click on the “click here to grant permissions” – it will load the same page again outside the facebook frame, and you will have to click it again.

If this isn’t what happens, let me know what does happen.

    2. You can also go to your fan page, go into edit page mode, and go look at application settings for your FB application. If you don’t have an “additional permissions” tab for the app, you have not yet granted permissions.

    3. Enable “Show errors posting to Facebook Stream” in WPBook and then post a new blog post (or unpublish and republish an existing one). WPBook should display any error it is receiving back from Facebook.

    4. Check the settings for your Facebook application in Facebook – do you have a “Connect URL” set in the “Application Settings” page for your app? Should be the same as your canvas callback url.

It worked! John, youre brilliant! Thank you so much.
Somehow I missed entering a URL into my settings and once I did that and then went back and clicked on the grant permissions link…twice, I was able to make a test post and it was successful!
Thanks again. Have a great day!

Thanks John. Your permalink response took care of the link issue for me. Also, must have missed that the “connect URL” in the app settings has to be the same as the callback url. That seemed to take care of the wall posting issue.

    Appreciate your help!

@middlemountain Could you mark the thread resolved? Thanks
