Is there a way to have the comments that people post to my blog on WordPress import to my Facebook wall. I have it working from Facebook to my blog, but would love for it to be a two way street.

    Thanks for any help.

Not currently, at least not through WPBook.

The comments made in WordPress are all there in the full canvas page view, of course – but not on the wall.

Not even sure how we’d accomplish that, since we’d really want to be posting their comments as them, using their Facebook identity, which means they’d also need to allow the app permissions and we’d need to store their access tokens, etc.

John thanks for the quick response. The plugin is fantastic. This is not something that the plugin needs, I just wanted to know if it could do it, because if it could, I would’ve had to adjust configuration, but since it can’t, it’s all good.

One other question – is there a way for the plugin to pull in a users photo from Facebook when they make a comment?

Also, does this plugin work with Facebook Comments?

    Thanks for all your help!!

@adamj3333 If you have “use Facebook avatars” set, the plugin does pull in the users photo from FB when they make a comment – if they make that comment inside FB.

If they make a comment on the WordPress blog outside FB, they will get whatever avatar your blog uses.

In terms of “working with” Facebook Comments, that depends on what you mean by Facebook comments and what you mean by working with.

Facebook Comments can mean the new offering from FB which completely replaces your comments with their widget – http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/comments/ – or it can mean a WordPress plugin which lets people leave WordPress comments with their FB identity – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-comments/, or http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-comments-for-wordpress/, or http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-comments-plugin/ or maybe others.

WPBook expects real WordPress comments – stored in the WordPress database, displayed in the context of a post. So long as these other plugins/approaches do that, they will work with WPBook. If they replace the whole commenting system, then their comments will not show up in WPBook and vice versa.

Finally, if these (or any other Facebook related plugins) include an out of date version of the Facebook SDK/client, they may conflict with WPBook, as only one Facebook client can exist in a given WordPress installation.

Trial and error is really the only way to test different combinations of plugins and Facebook configurations at this point

I just installed and configured the plugin in no time. And it is really great…especially when comparing it to the hastles of getting WordBooker to run with a company page.
The only thing I am missing for a 100% solution is pushing WP comments to a Facebook company page’s wall.
Regarding the FB user problem may this is a way around it:
Push comments from WordPress to Facebook via the blog’s admin Facebook user (or any other that could be set up in the config area) and add the real user’s name and mail as text to the comment.

    Thanks for this great plugin!
