• Hi there, I realize that the developer of the awesome WP Audio plug-in no longer seems to be maintaining it, but I thought I’d post this anyway in case someone else has run into this issue and found a fix for it.

When upgrading a site previously running 3.1.4 to 3.2.1, we noticed that its audio podcasts were longer updating over at iTunes. When we looked into the situation, it seems that the WP Audio plug-in is no longer adding a custom field for the MP3 link called enclosure which is what iTunes picks up for podcasting purposes.

If I add the custom field manually, it works fine, but this is an extra step and it would be awesome if the enclosure field could be added automatically just like it used to.

The same thing happens whether I have “Convert all mp3 links automatically” checked, whether I add the “wpaudio” class manually, or whether I use the shortcode.

Here’s a screenshot of an example of the enclosure custom field I’m referring to: http://www.twitpic.com/6pasef/full

If anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears! Thanks in advance.

p.s. other plug-ins we’re running are: Akismet, All in One SEO Pack, AntiVirus, Bad Behavior, Cookies for Comments, Custom Field Template, DirtySuds – Embed YouTube, FeedBurner FeedSmith Extend, Google +1, Jetpack, Obfuscate E-mail, Secure WordPress, Subscribe to Comments Reloaded, WordPress Database Backup, WordPress File Monitor, WordPress Importer and Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.

p.p.s. I just tried deactivating all plug-ins except WP Audio and the enclosures still don’t get added, so it doesn’t appear to be a conflict.
