[Plugin: WP Tweet Button] Bit.ly selected, but URL was not shortened

    I am experimenting with using this plug in for a site that is in development. In the settings, I chose to use Bit.ly as the URL shortener and entered my username and API key, as required. But the links on blog posts are not coming out shortened. Can you let me know what i need to do to fix this? You said in another person’s question something about deleting the browser cache (which I did), and ensuring you are not using some cache plugin (I am not), and it is still not working. Thank you for your help.

    Try clearing the shortener cache in the WP Tweet Button settings page.

    Check the box that says “Delete all previously saved shortlinks when I save.” and save your settings.
