Are you posting directly from WordPress or via an XML RPC client, like Windows Live Writer? I’ve found that XML RPC posts seem to show up encoded; but I’ve never had that issue directly from WordPress admin.
I usually posting via an XML RPC client (mostly Windows Live Writer).
How could i fix the problem?

You probably can’t; I’ll have to find where that encoding is happening and modify it. Thanks for confirming that, however – now I know what the issue is and I can work on fixing it.
I’ll need to test with other XML RPC clients; if this is an issue with Windows Live Writer, I may not be able to do anything about it – but I’ll find out and update here when I know.
Ok, I find encoding option in wordpress and in Live Writer but I don’t know what will happen if I change it…
By evening I’ll try with another XML RPC client and i’ll write you if it work or not, ok?

The encoding in WordPress and in LiveWriter should both be UTF-8; but that’s not really the issue, I think. The problem is that the characters are being converted to HTML entities before being processed by WP to Twitter.

the test with scribfire work. All of accented letters are ok…
I don’t know to think… :-(… before i used Twitter tools and accented letters were ok with live writer but your plugin are better for all of others things…
