WP-Table Reloaded
[resolved] Shortcode not showing on page (6 posts)

I love WP tables reloaded, and use it a lot on all my sites. But I'm now working on one which doesn't display the shortcode as a table for some reason. It doesn't display it as anything, its just blank, not even unconverted shortcode.

So I wonder if there are any plugins which are known to conflict with WP Tables Reloaded... or if the theme I'm using (Promotion) is to blame.

Can anyone help me out here?
    Thanks
    TB

    Hi,

    thanks for your post.

You mean, instead of the Shortcode, you see nothing? That very likely means that you have another plugin activated (or that there code in your theme) that has its own [table] Shortcode. That then seems to get precedence over WP-Table Reloaded's Shortcode.

Can you temporarily switch to the WordPress Default Theme, and also check if any of your plugins might have such a Shortcode?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks for that... yes I deactivated and reactivated all plugins to see if I could find one conflicting with it, but none were. So then I changed themes, and sure enough, the table displayed correctly.

The theme I'm using is ProMotion 2.1 by MNKY do you know what can be done to help this theme support WP Table reloaded?

    Thanks
    TB

    Hi,

you'll somehow need to disable/remove/rename the creation of the Shortcode in that theme then. Unfortunately, I don't know where exactly, so you might want to contact the theme author.

    Hi,

sure, no problem, you are very welcome!

BTW, you are looking for a line with add_shortcode() somewhere, but please check with the theme author first. Maybe there's a simpler way than editing files.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
