    Hi Tobias,
Im using this plugin and absolutely love it. I am wondering if the possible idea on this link is able to be implemented with tables reloaded. And if so where to start.

If you want to discuss via email again that will be no problem

    Here is the link

    Hi,

no, not yet, sorry... It was a busy week and I also didn't have time during the weekend. The article is high on my "to read" list, so I'll hopefully be able to take a look early this week.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

ok, so I've finally found the time to read the article. And I really like the idea, so thanks for sharing this.

Implementing this in WP-Table Reloaded will not be easy, but I can imagine a solution via a plugin Extension or some extra Shortcode parameters. I will put this on my feature ideas list and investigate a solution in the future.

Now, unfortunately, I can foresee some problems with the parallel usage of the features like sorting, search, pagination and so on, so very likely, you can not have responsive tables that still have these features. This might however be possible by using the DataTables JS API for this, so let's see...

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Thanks Tobias!
hopefully you will see for me because I have no idea how JS api works. would you be willing to test and set up one or two tables on my site for me?

    Hi,

no, sorry my time doesn't allow this right now. I will however be playing with this in the next weeks or so, so that we all can benefit from the solution.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

I love WP- Table Reloaded and adding this feature would be a life saver as I am trying to complete a site that will be used on mobile devices heavily!

    Thanks for the awesome plugin!

    Hi,

Just wanted to say I was looking for that functionality too. Would make the plugin even better, since I think it's a definitely necessary function when using it on a frontpage of a responsive WP theme (which I am, you guessed right).

    Best,
    Pol

    Hi,

thanks for your feedback! I'm a step further now, about the mentioned integration with DataTables: There seems to be a good Extension at http://datatables.net/extras/colvis/ which would just need the specific parts about the responsiveness.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

I'm working on a responsive site as well, at http://www.surreycares.org. The theme is responsive, but the plugin that is blocking the site, as exemplified by the header, from responding nicely is, well, it's WP-Table Reloaded. :(

I'm really keen to see what you suggest. I tried what you suggested in another, similar, thread today, but it didn't make any difference (so I undid it all...).

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi erinanne,

could you maybe explain what you would like to see in terms of responsiveness for the tables on your site? What would you like the tables to do on e.g. mobile devices?

    Thanks
    Tobias

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

For regular data tables, there's a useful TablePress Extension that can be used to make such tables responsive: http://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/
    Hope that helps!

    Regards,
    Tobias
