WP-Table Reloaded
[resolved] [Request] Grouping data and collapse with + and - (categories) (8 posts)

    I can't find a plug-in that can:
    1. Import CSV to table
    2. Group data with collapse/expand options.
    3. Add Info box if extra info is there.

I cannot find any plug-in that includes the second requirement.

    Example of grouping:
    http://intervisionit.nl/dev/domstad/wp-content/themes/wp-foundation/test.php

    Example of table with plug-in:
    http://intervisionit.nl/dev/domstad/home/tarieven/

Example of info box (click on 3rd group row):
    http://demo.imagetowebpage.com/domstad/tarieven#

    Can anybody help me by:
    1. Adjusting the plugin (I can pay you)
    2. Referring to another plugin

    With kind regards,

    Joko, http://www.intervisionit.nl

    Hi Joko,

    thanks for your post.

Unfortunately (as this is beyond my available time and my JavaScript skills), I will not be able to help with the implementation, but your best chances in my opinion are to somehow try to combine
    http://www.datatables.net/release-datatables/examples/api/row_details.html
    and
    http://www.datatables.net/release-datatables/examples/advanced_init/row_grouping.html
    for the DataTables JavaScript library.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks for the quick reply! I've found out the first option of DataTables too. I can get it to work but not via the table options (where you can add DataTable commands); I don't know how to do that there. You?

Anyway: It works when I put the example code in the header. But than all my settings in WP-Table-Reloaded aren't working anymore.

    Hi,

my recommendation for such bigger adjustments/usage of the DataTables library and its features is to simply load it manually for the table.
Basically, this means to disable the usage of the library on the table's "Edit" screen, and then load the invocation call (you can copy that from the HTML source of a page with teh table before disabling the library) and all the extensions manually into the page, e.g. with the HiFi plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hifi/).

    Regards
    Tobias

    Thanks again for replying fast!

    I'll do that. Thanks!

Btw.: If you want to add extra commands via the Reloaded settings. What is the syntax? It's not explained. Is it like this: "myOptionname": true, "myOtherOption": false

    Or ...?

    Hi,

yes, that's basically the syntax, but it's depending on the available options of the DataTables library, like the ones on http://datatables.net/usage/features.
Those are predefined, that's why there's nothing really to document for me.

For the longer extentions (like from my links above), this is not a suitable or working place, it's only for the small options.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    HI there,

I've managed to get all that was needed, and more! This plugin in combination with DataTables is awesome!

Btw: I disabled the DataTables option in the table involved and loaded the latest DataTables JS.

    The result:
