[resolved] [plugin wp-table-reloaded] colspan and rowspan (3 posts)

Hi Tobias (and anyone else who can help),

I have a table here: http://www.leedscarnegieladies.com/player-stats and I experimented with bringing in to wp-table-reloaded, as it's nice and simple, so if it worked, and worked well, I'd convert all the other tables on my site as well (all, or nothing, for consistency).

Unfortunately, the 'colspan=2' attributes didn't get carried over. Is this by design, or have I done something wrong? I saved the original table as html and imported it from a text file. Haven't seen an option to manually tweak the table.

    Hi,

nice that you are trying my plugin!

    Regarding the "colspan" issue:
Well, it is not "by design", it is simply not supported. I'd love to do that, but because of the table's current data structure (two-dimensional arrays) I just can't find a good way to implement it.
So, sorry, "colspan" and "rowspan" are not supported (until I find a way to do it). Maybe you can change your tables so that you don't need it?

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

I think we'll be keeping the design as it is for now - it took us long enough to find something that we all like!

However, there are other tables and other web sites, so I'm sure I'll have a use for your plugin at some point down the line. Many thanks for writing it.
