I figured out my issue. I disabled the Firewall plugin and it works fine. Sorry for the fire drill.
Hi,
great to hear that you found the cause of the issue already! 🙂
That firewall plugin likely blocked the saving request due to the HTML in the table cells, which it thinks might be malicious (which in our case it isn’t, of course).
Best wishes,
Tobias
Jamecl I am having the exact same problem. What did you do to correct it? I am not sure what you mean about disabling the Firewall plugin. Thanks!

I had a Firewall plugin installed that I believe was blocking access to a DB that WP-Table needed to write to. I disabled the Firewall plug-in and WP-Table worked. I’d suggest disabling any security plug-ins you have, make your changes, then re-enable your security plugin.
Do you mean you had a firewall plugin installed into your website? Or are you referring to your computer firewall, ie Norton Anti virus. Sorry for the questions. My site was designed for me and I have access to most of it and am becoming more and more knowledgeable abou it.
Just so you know what I am working on. I am trying to add thumbnail images beside the article in these tables. http://www.idfa.ca/exercises

Yes, I had a firewall plug-in in WordPress. Check if you have any security plugins in WordPress, if you do, try deactivating the plugin, make your change and then reactivate the plugin.
Hi,
Shawn, thanks for your question, and jamecl, thanks for replying with the solution that worked for you!
Yes, this sounds like something (a security plugin in WP, or a security configuration on the server) is preventing HTML code in HTTP POST content.
Now, before you disable those, please try migrating from WP-Table Reloaded to its official successor TablePress first. TablePress uses a different saving mechanism, and maybe that solves things already. For more inforamtion please see http://tobias.baethge.com/2013/01/tablepress-replaces-wp-table-reloaded/
