Hi
The latest version 0.5 make you able to define inclusion/exclusion paths.
Hi Pozzad,
could you please give an example on how to define an inclusion/exclusion path? Is it like an url? Sorry but I'm no expert :(
Many thanks in advance.
Can anyone help me? please...
Hi niratix
At first you have to decide if you want to specify a list of paths to include or exclude and after that just put inside the textarea the list of the URIs (one for each line)
For example if you want to exclude the following URLs
http://mysite/about
http://mysite/contacts
just choose "Don't show the popup for the following paths" and put
/about
/contacts
inside the textarea
Hi Pozzad,
Great plugin! This is my first try and I'm still trying to make it work right. Everything has been easy except setting the popup to show only on certain pages.
I have selected these paths for exclusion:
/in-the-news
/practice-areas
For testing purposes, I'm showing the popup the first 500 visits. The popup is enabled.
When I use the above setup, I get no popups at all.
If I try to do it in reverse (for testing purposes) and try to select pages for inclusion:
/contact-us
/resources-links
I get no popups at all.
The only option that actually shows popups is "Show the popup on all the pages." Do you have a solution for this?
If I can get this popup to work properly, I'll definitely be making a donation because you have helped myself and others tremendously!
Here is the site I'm testing the plugin out on: http://www.silverrayn.com/ER
Please help.
Thank you,
Kimberly
I have the same issue,
I tested "Show the popup only for the following paths" with these paths :
/wp-admin/post-new.php
/contact
/about
But it didn't work, i'm using 2.9.2 version.
Also I have the same problem. The popup works, when I select "Show the popup on all the pages". But if I like to exclude certain pages and select "Don't show the popup for the following paths" and type the paths correctly, the popup does not appear at all. What's wrong and how to fix this?
...if I continue, I have WordPress 2.9.2 with iNove 1.4.6 theme and WP Super PopUp 0.6, which is upgraded to the latest version.
New result :
I reactivated the plugin and set "show only on" and it wokred for me on the follwing paths (tested on IE/FF/GC):
/contact
/about
But it doesn't work with wp-admin paths such as :
/wp-admin/post-new.php
/wp-admin/profile.php
I managed to get the plugin to work on the first page (index.php) by selecting "Show the popup only for the following paths" and typing "/" into the text box.
It looks like ioloman is on the right track. If you configure the plugin the way you want it, then deactivate it and reactivate, it will work for "top level" paths.
I can't get mine to work anytime I use inclusion to any pages. As soon as I say all pages then it works fine.
I just got mine to work by using this format:
/location/
/contact-us/Hi all
There was a problem on the old versions.
The 0.9 should definitively solve it
Hello,
Does anyone know if it's possible to include a path to a sub-directory and have the popup show on all the pages in that subdirectory?
For example, if I only want the popup to show on blog posts, to include the path
/2010/
and have the popup show on all posts in that subdirectory, where blog posts have the format,
http://www.domain.com/2010/10/mypost/
I have tried this in the format above and as
/2010/*
but there doesn't seem to be this wildcard functionality.
Is there any way to do it? Otherwise it seems you would need to include the path to every new post you write, which is time-consuming.
Many thanks for the help.
What would the path be to show it only on the homepage? Just a slash?
Hello all,
Is it possible for the popup to show up on the home page for several visits but if someone goes to another page and then back to the home page it doesn't show up?
Basically, I only want the popup to appear when someone visits only the home page and if they come back to the home page the popup does not appear.
Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ian
