[Plugin: WP Super Edit] Edit Tables Not Working (2 posts)

    Hi,

Great plugin this for me, works well with 2.8.2 except for one bug so far. We need to add tables for tabular date to our blog posts and the plugin allows us to add a table no problem but if we then need to add an extra row, we cannot do it because the function to edit the 'rows' or 'columns' is greyed out.

Is there a solution to this or alternative plugin that will allow me to add a table to a blog post and then subsequently edit and add rows or columns to it?

    Thanks,

There are two buttons that are part of the Table functions added to the editor. One is the "table" and the other is "table controls".

the table controls has options to insert or delete cells and rows and modify the cell / row properties. It's a little bit complicated because the editor will try to react with the text you have selected or the position of your cursor. So if you have a partial row selected, or if you have your cursor outside of the table then the options will be greyed out.

Try just placing the cursor in a row without selecting any text or the table cell. Experiment with making different selections and cursor positions inside the table. It does take some getting used to, but once you play with the table controls based on your sections and cursor positions it starts to make sense.

Let me know if I missed the mark and you're having different problem.
