   I'm trying to delete the WP Super Cache but get;

   WP Super Cache is disabled. Please go to the plugin admin page to enable caching. (in red box)
   You cannot delete a plugin while it is active on the main site. (underneath) - but it is not active..? how can I delete this plug-in?

   I presume you're using an multisite install? Why not go to your main site's network plugins page and uninstall the plugin from there?
