• Warning! /home/content/b/u/t/domain name/html/blog name/wp-content is writeable!

You should change the permissions on /home/content/b/u/t/domanin name/html/blog name/wp-content and make it more restrictive. Use your ftp client, or the following command to fix things:chmod 755 /home/content/b/u/t/butterflydice/html/shatteredlands/wp-content/

I get this everytime I install wp super cache.
I’ve tried to figure it out but I don’t know where to “run the command to fix” and I can’t even figure it out in my ftp. I’ve been trying to read thru the forums here but the blue font is really hard for me to read as I have some eye problems. So I’m so sorry if this is posted already and I can’t find it.

I’d just like to know how I make it not writeable!
I looked in the wordpress files and can’t find the correct document to change. Feeling stupid here.

  • Use google to search for your ftp client and “chmod” – that should tell you how to use it I hope!

@ donncha appropriate, but you could have helped a bit more, its not hard…

    @ shatteredlands

In your FTP client (download Filezilla if you don’t have one) connect to your website and find the folder wp-content

    Tip: Its in – /home/content/b/u/t/butterflydice/html/shatteredlands/

right click on the folder wp-content and select ‘File Permissions’ or ‘Chmod’ and change the number from 777 to 755

    Hope That Helps
