[Plugin: WP Super Cache] WP super cache and hosting CPU quota (2 posts)

My website (http://brijux.com) recently got too many hits. I have a free hosting account at byethost.

They disabled my account as I used too much of their CPU quota. After request, they have re-enabled my account and my website is back online.

    My question is
[1] will using wp-super-cache prevent this from happening again? Will it lower the CPU use on the hosting servers or will it increase the CPU usage?

[2] Also let me know if there is any other way of reducing the CPU usage. (I love the "wassup" real-time-visitor-tracking plugin, but it does not work with cached pages.)

    1. Yes.
    2. Don't use realtime visitor tracking plugins. They suck CPU power. Use WordPress.com stats or Google Analytics.
