In my Advanced WP Super Cache Settings, there is a checkbox with the label 'Mobile device support'. What exactly does this option do? When should I have it on or off?

You can use one of the Mobile plugins for WordPress to show a different theme to mobile phone users. With this checked, those pages are cached differently.
Donncha, does this work with WP-Touch pro as well? I think that right now, I tell WP Super Cache to leave the mobile browsers alone with the "Rejected User Agents" section.
hello. are not mobile devices served different page design without special plugins, (ie also with "vanilla" wordpress)?
since donncha said "different theme" i think only with special plugin and additional theme wordpress shows different content to mobile devices.
so, if i have not that special plugin, i should better not check that option.
qdinar - no, you need a mobile plugin to do the detection and serving the right theme. Search for "mobile" on the plugins site and you'll find a few.
