   I see in the changelog that version 0.9.9.8 now supports caching of dynamic pages... Does this mean that post views generated with WP-PostViews will update immediately?

   It's always supported that. WP-Postviews has to be rewritten if it hasn't already to work with cached pages.

   OK, what I don't understand is - when does the page view update? When the cache expires? How often does that happen?

   When the cache expires, which is up to the administrator of the blog and could be from a few minutes to a few days.
