This is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway.

When a page changes, ie I change something through wp-admin, or a dynamic sidebar changes (recent comments, for example) or someone comments on a page, is the time between when the page updates set by the "Expiry time"

ie; if I have the expiry time set to 3600, that means the cache will get deleted every hour automatically, right?

So, every hour when someone visits the page, it'll create a new cache, and include whatever's changed on the page since the last cache?

Just want to confirm that it happens automatically when a page expires.
    Thanks.

No, when a page is modified by a comment or a post edit it is updated immediately. The expiry time is there to allow the garbage collection to delete older pages.
