Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Mod Rewrite Rule Overloading Server?

  • My hosting provider noticed that my admin-ajax.php has been overloading my dedicated server. He determined that the mod rewrite rules generated by WP Super Cache was causing it. Anyone else encounter this problem? I know nothing about writing this script so I can’t tell you any more, but he removed the rules, so now I cannot use mod rewrite. Here are the rules he took off… I appreciate any input. Thanks.

  • S/He’s wrong. Supercache has nothing to do with admin-ajax.php. The file is used by the backend which quite often means direct reads and writes to and from the database. He’s making it worse.

You should probably move to another host if they insist on this course of action.
