Is Lock Down obsolete? (2 posts)

    Hello Donncha,

do you consider the Lock Down feature to be obsolete? Should we be fine with using just "Cache rebuild" (which is on by default)? How do these two features compare in benchmarks?

You said something like above in this older thread:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-super-cache-lockdown-problem

Please let us know what your recommendation is. If "Cache rebuild" is already better than Lock Down, then we need to know. Our issue with Lock Down is, that new published posts don't refresh the cache - they won't appear on the index page unless the cache is cleared.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Yeah, I think lockdown is obsolete unless you're spamming digg.com or some other social media website and hoping to drive traffic to a particular page.

That not updating issue is a feature of lockdown. :)
