    Hi there,

I’m not sure, if I am the only one where’s the problem shown up at the blog by using WP 3.0.

But at the dashboard there are not buttons shown (WYSIWYG mode), if i want to make a post.

Also the text ist shown as source code, like unter html mode.

So I’ve deactivated all plugins and the problem was solved.

After that, I activated the plugins one by one, to get the plugin that causing the problem.

As I’ve acitvated the WP Super Cache plugin the Problem occures again, and after deactivating the problem was solved again.

So do I have to wait for an update, or can someting else in combining with the plugin cause the problem and I can fix it, myself?

  • Do you have any other plugins that interact with the visual editor? Supercache won’t cache any admin urls so it shouldn’t interfere with the editor.

You could try the debug system built into the plugin to figure out what it’s doing. Also disable the plugin by turning caching off. Do you still see editor problems?

    Hi donncha,

Oh dear, sometimes I’am really acting like a noob. 😉

It was an entry from the old wp-config.php, ’cause after the automatic update I didn’t noticed that there was a change in it.

    The line

    define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); //Added by WP-Cache Manager

is not longer in there and after changing the wp-config.php, the editor and even the plugin ist working fine now.

So i think the problem was only to replace the wp-config.php with that one, wich is given with the wp 3.0 package.

I have the same problem. I removed the wp-cache plugin but the strange editor problem still exists.

Have you replaced the old wp-config.php?

’cause the automatic update to 3.0 does not change the existing wp-config.php from WP 2.9.2

Theres one given with the WP3.0 Package called wp-config-sample.php.
This one you have to edit an replace with the old one on your FTP.

    thanks, I’ll do!

    Dear All,

I still have the problem with the editor panel after the upgrade.

The strange thing is, I still have all buttons and icons if I am using windows XP and FF (v3.6.3.) or XP+IE 8 (v8.0.6001.18372) but no icons and buttons under Mac (OS X 10.6.4)+FF/Shiira/Camino/Safari.

I think it is not a WordPress problem, rather java or browser or apple issue. (Before the 3.0 upgrade it worked well under mac but there was the OS X upgrade at the weekend to 10.6.4. and I am not sure wich upgrade caused the issue.)

I’d still be glad to hear any ideas from you.

    Thanks,

    P
