   When an image is uploaded, does WP-Smush.it act immediately to smush the image ?

   This is because I would like to deactivate Smush It when I am not uploading any images, one less plugin in memory ...

   Well, WP-Smush.it response time has gone down the drain, super-slow, hangs because it is slow, so this is moot now, no more Smush It

   Currently loving Kraken (http://kraken.io/), and it's not a plugin too, great ! Works well with Firefox, not with Chrome. Even better compression than Smush It.

   I see Kraken has an API, it would be sweet if someone made a WP plugin for it, too.
