   Congratulations and thanks for this plugin! It's quite awesome :)

   I'd only wish that it worked with NextGEN Gallery images. Since this gallery plugin uses its own uploading system, images aren't smushed in the process.

   Does anybody knows how to do this? Or should it be implemented as a core feature?

   This is same as with Lazyest gallery. There needs to be some hook which would allow processing.

   I run smushit on its web page and then upload to Nextgen.

   Very basic integration but it should get the basics working for you.

   I totally agree with this. Part of getting our pagerank up would be using smush.it to bulk compress existing nextgen galleries.

   Great tool tho. It will perfect as is for those just starting their NextGen experience. Can you help us older generations Alex?

   I agree, but I don't have the time at the moment. I'm hoping some NextGEN user comes along and wants to contribute a bit :)
