[resolved] autopurge problem (8 posts)

    Hi Dino,

I am back. I just noticed something strange with the autopurge. It was/is set on the standard 120 days and I did always notice that after the option box the purge date was always incorrect just a few days away.
Now is says Next purge is scheduled on June 28, 2011, 13:56

I noticed most stats where gone and that was around the time of the previous purge (about 1 hour ago I guess).

I got all the stats back just by re-saving the config, but my guess is that later today it will be purge again.
Whatever I try the date will not go any further then well today.

I have created the same admin access as before if you need it.

It looks like the purge cronjob has been scheduled multiple times in your case. Go to Settings > SlimStat > General, and set Autopurge to zero. Then set it again to 120 days, this should clean all the redundant scheduled jobs. Not sure how or why this happened.

You may want to use a plugin called WP Cron Dashboard to see all the scheduled jobs in your environment.

I did as you mentioned, but the same results, still wants a purge today instead of 120 days.

I also used WP Cron Dashboard, handy, got rid of some non-existing old plugins that still had cron jobs.

Then I also delete slimstat cronjob and re-saved the config only to again end up with a today purge date.

Maybe it is related or not, but I also notice that the Data Size (on the Dasboard tab) has stayed the same for days now.

No wait, I guess there's a misunderstanding here about the terminology. What the setting is saying is that the next clean-up (of rows that are at least 120 days old) will happen today at that time. This is how cron jobs works, and in WP SlimStat's case, it's a daily job.

OK, and since the oldest stats might be 1 week old now after my previous re-install, it has nothing to purge.

But that does not take away the fact that I contacted you because suddenly all stats where gone and after re-saving the config they appeared again, so that is why I got confused.

    Regards, Ron

Can you provide more information about the environment, other plugins etc?

I think it was just a one time thing, did not happen any more, so probably a database/server flouk.
