WP Realtime Sitemap
Shortcode isn't working (7 posts)

Placing [wp-realtime-sitemap show="all"] or [wp-realtime-sitemap] in a page and then viewing that page won't show the sitemap. Don't know exactly what version this broke but WP 3.2.1 and WP Realtime Sitemap 1.5.4 doesn't work.

To get 1.5.4 to work, I had to do the following:

    1) Use the shortcode [wp-realtime-sitemap] and get rid of the show=all parameter

    2) Change the order settings to be all different. By default, they were all set to Menu. With that setting, the sitemap didn't create anything (I would have expected 7 menu sitemaps, not empty sitemap).

So after setting all orders to be different and not have any matches, the sitemap appeared.

However, I did a test afterwards. Strangely, when I set all order settings to Menu, it worked and I got 7 menu sitemaps (which contradicts the default scenario above).

I'm thinking the plugin should set by default all seven orders to be different settings to avoid confusion and retain sitemap functionality?

It does set them all to be different by default, atleast thats what it shows as in the code, but I will look into this again.

The only shortcode you should be using is [wp-realtime-sitemap] it does say on the plugin page the other short codes are depreciated.

I have WP 3.3.1, did rverything according to the instructions but the [wp-realtime-sitemap] does not work - i.e. the code appears on the publishe page but not the sitemap.

    Good news.
The culprit was another plugin which blocked all the shortcodes.
    It is working great.
    Thanks
