   Dear Braekling:

   Guten Tag. Thanks for building such a wonderful app. Let me know where I can donate to your effort in developing & maintaining such a beautiful app.

   I've a business shared hosting that allows me to host multiple sites. I have 3 wordpress sites at http://www.site1.com, http://www.site2.com, http://www.site3.com,etc... all running from the same host. My Piwik analytics is installed as a sub-domain on http://www.piwik.site1.com.

   So far on http://www.site1.com wp-piwik is running beautifully. I read from http://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/piwik-web-analytics-for-wordpress-3-multisite-single.html that I must have a VPS hosting and WP MU in order to run Piwik on multiple wordpress sites. Is that true? Please advice.

   Sorry for asking such a silly question - however I think the flexibility and speed offered by Piwik is liberating.

   Dear Andrew:

   The VPS hosting mentioned on the linked blog refers to WP MU setup, not to Piwik or WP-Piwik. If your WP MU works fine, don't worry about this. (This article is confusing, e.g. it shows WP-Piwik screenshots and describes WP-Piwik, but it links to another plugin called Piwik Analytics.)

   Please consider (especially regarding your intention to donate - Danke sehr!) WP-Piwik is NOT Piwik - and WP-Piwik is not made by the Piwik-Team. If you like to donate to the Piwik team, please visit http://piwik.org/contribute/. These are the guys who made the great Piwik tracking tool. If you like to donate to me (I made the WordPress plugin WP-Piwik which just adds some stats and the tracking code to WordPress), have a look at the plugins' settings page (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> WP-Piwik). There is a colored box with more information.
