    That is correct. Many themes put the excerpt in a meta tag in the head section of the html page. If wppa+ should render in the excerpt, you get the albums displayed twice: one time before the entire page (the metatag) and once in the post.

    The indication [WPPA+ Photo display] is therefor ‘the excerpt’ version of the full photo display.

    The rendering of wppa+ is now suspended until the header of the html page is finished (wp_head(); in the code). So if the action wp_head is not executed, the rendering will not take place and you will see [WPPA+ Photo display]
