[resolved] Popup border and back button behaviour (7 posts)

    Hi Opa Jaap,

I noticed a few things today in the last wppa version:

    Popup border
In IE9 and FF the thumbnail popup shows with a nice border all arround. In Chrome and Safari that border is only shown on the LH side. In IE8 the popups do not work at all. Only a small LH border is shown.

The behaviour of the browser back button
In a previous version of wppa when I go from a cover to the thumbnails screen to the large picture I could use the browsers back button to go back those steps. Just like expected.
In the current version this does not work. It looks like the back button just keeps reloading the current screen. This is the same on all browsers, even on my phone. I would expect that this is not as intended?

    Cheers,
    Erik

Please check http://wppa.opajaap.nl where popups work in all browsers.
If it works not with your browser, it must be a setting in the browser, if it does work, supply a link to your site, so i can see something.

The behaviour of the browser back button

This is a side-effect of the setting that updates the addressline (the browser history) when a slideshow loads a slide. In this way, you can copy-past the link from the addressline in the middle of a running slideshow preserving the state of the slideshow.
If you do not want this behaviour, uncheck Table IV-A1

Thanks for the quick reply. I have disabled ajax now and the backbutton now works as expected.

I have just enabled popups again so you can see what I mean.

Chrome shows this with just a LH border, IE shows it fine. I have tried it on two different computers with the same result.
The popups on your website work just fine...

Strange. Could you leave it on so i can look into it deeper later on?

    What is your theme?

What happens if you check one (or more) of the settings: Table II-C4,5,6?

When I check C4 it does work. That is the actual setting now so you can see for yourself. On my computer you can actually see it rendering the LH side first and after that the rest of the borders and the name. This is in Chrome, Safari and FF. In IE it renders all borders and after that the name caption.
With this setting it even works in IE8!

When I check C5 it just works with the pictures that have a description.

With C6 it does not work as I have rating turned off

.... wouldn't be nice if all browsers acted the same ....
