I want to run multiple galleries but with different settings. For example I want to have one gallery where only I can upload images but I also want another gallery where the public can upload photos if they want to.
Is there a way to have different settings for different galleries?

Check Table VII item 2: Owners only.
Then set the owner of the 'public' album to
--- public ---Any logged in user can upload to the album.
See This page for an example. Anyone can make an account, log in and scroll down to Public Album. You can upload pictures there.
