I created a new template page and I can choose what widgets I want to show when using it, but only the default ones show on the front end. The settings are saved in the back end though. Any idea how to resolve this?

Dear Greyhound,
This is not in our roadmap.
Perhaps you can do that by editing your page template directly to add wanted widgets.
