I have 5 sites running the WP No Category Base plugin, and 2 of them do exactly what I want… and 3 do not.

The ones that are “working” show the modified category URLs in the widgets, the sitemap (generated by another plugin) and in the canonical URL (generated by Thesis 1.8.5)

The blogs that are “not working” show the archive URLS with the “/category/” in the URL in the widgets, sitemap, and canonical urls. Yes, these links do correctly 301 redirect to URLs without “/category/” .. but I dislike the idea of having the “/category/” showup in sitemaps and in canonical URLs,etc.

Any idea why this might be? Any suggestions as to where we would look for solutions?

    Thanks!
