• This is by far the worst mobile plugin I ever tried. Sorry, but it does not even remove the link to your site when asked to. Only stats seem to work fine. Everything else is out of control. It might be me, but I have wasted thre hours trying to see if it was my site having troubles, tested on various installations and well it just does not go.

    Can you be more specific?

    The link removal is only the link on your standard website.

    Is your server using PHP 5 or PHP 4?

    I would be happy to help you get it installed.

    I have similar problems.

    Platform: Windows XP SP3, WAMPServer 2, PHP 5.3.0, WordPress 3.1.2

    After install, none of the mobile theme screenshots appeared on the Mobile Themes page in admin, and clicking a preview link brought up an empty screen.

    Clicking either “Update” button on the Settings page brought up the error “Error saving settings”.

    I’m off to look for an alternative plugin.

    Sounds like it didn’t install properly.

    If you’d like, I can help you troubleshoot.

    I just need a little more information.

    I tried this too, everything seemed to install ok then when I went to check the site with my Blackberry Curve an error:404 or something similar came up on my smartphone so I had to de-activate the plugin 🙁

    I’m still unable to run this plugin and really need a helping hand guys
    heres the story so far:

    I was first seeing some include errors, it was looking in plugins-baap-mobile-version for the mobile_pack_base theme because of the commented out code below.

    //$wp_mobile_pack_dir = WP_CONTENT_DIR. '/plugins/baap-mobile-version';

    I commented it out and replaced it with:

    $wp_mobile_pack_dir = WP_CONTENT_DIR;

    That gets the theme loading now. There’s still a 404 error on the front page but my about us link works fine. I didn’t see anywhere to set what page to load by default. I also saw the following error occurring which is being triggered in functions.php of the plugin:

    PHP Warning:

    DOMDocument::loadHTML() [domdocument.loadhtml]:Unexpected end tag : dd in Entity, line: 92 in / home2/mydomainco/public_html/mydomainco/wp-content/plugins/wp-mobile-detector/functions.php on line 187

    It appears to be syntax issue somewhere?

    I’m not getting any response for this at the moment from anybody, wp/bp/ forums and /or the plugin author, this is really starting to suck big time 🙁

    London Pings, that is not the WP Mobile Detector, that is a problem with the BAAP mobile plugin.

    The PHP warning is normal, it is due to a syntax error. As long as you rotate your error logs or are not logging these warnings you should be fine.

    ok shall I remove all traces of the BAAP Mobile plugins then cos I got 4 of them in cpanel?

    I’ll try another theme.

    As for ‘rotating my error logs’ I don’t know how to go about doing this?
    would you be willing to lend some advise please?

    thanks for getting back to me by the way 😉

    ok 8 weeks and still no reply 🙁

    @websitezcom can you help me trouble-shoot please ?

    thanks.

    Site: http://www.commongroundworshipcenter.com
    My phone: Blackberry Torch

    I have installed the plugin…no problems.

    When I access the site I see my normal website. I am under the impression that there should be a default mobile theme.

    Any thoughts or ideas?

    Thanks,
    pat

    Are you using any sort of cache plugin?
