[resolved] Wrong URL on Member Page after Activating a User (5 posts)

    I'm using WP 3.3.1 with WP-Members 2.7.0

For me there is one bug in the backend/admin section while activating a new user (and ONLY while activating): I click the checkbox to activate and after that the button to update. The user is activated and will get an email with his/her password...
...but the URL in the top section of the member page behind the words "Back to UserĀ» is "/wp/wp-admin/users.php" - what's not correct, what will end up with 404...
...where is that "/wp" coming from? Thanks for help, Chad. It's not critical I know - but I would like to fix that.

That is really strange... My initial thought is that it is coming from WP itself because I don't think that the plugin generates that message upon profile update.

I tried it on my local site and found that I had the same issue, but when I deactivated the plugin, updated a user, and reactivated the plugin, the problem disappeared.

Strange indeed... I will keep this in mind and if I see that it is in the plugin, I will get it fixed. Especially since I am getting ready to release an update with some fixes and new features. (If you'd like to take the new beta for a test, there's more info here.)

OK, I did find where the problem lies. The link is passed via the referring page. So if you edit the user coming from the main WP user table, it will return correctly. If you edit the individual user coming from the WP-Members user table, it will give you a link to return that is bad.

As you mentioned, it's kind of a minor issue. Interestingly, this has to have been there since I added the bulk user management table and while no one has mentioned it before, today two people have pointed this out.

Anyway, I'll figure out a solution and correct it. Thanks for catching this.

OK, last update... I did find a solution. It will be added to the 2.7.1 release (at some point prior to final production release of the version).
