• Hello,

This is probably a long-shot, but I figured I’d ask anyway, why not? I’ve been playing around with Subscribe2 for another site of mine and like the opt-in list that it creates. Is there any conceivable way of linking WP-members to the Subscribe2 database that’s created? I know that you’d mentioned creating a custom field a couple weeks back (which worked like a charm), but that still requires extracting the list of people who’ve opted in from the wp-members DB and loading it into something else, such as Constant Contact (or Subscribe2). I’m just wondering if there’s a way to automate this (and catch those who’ve changed preferences, for that matter).

    Thanks as always,
    KW

That’s not necessarily a long shot 😉 I am looking at certain plugins and considering focusing on tighter integration and/or bridge plugins. I have a project list started for the next version release so I’ll look into how this fits into that.

I’ve also had several requests for integrated newsletter features, so this might fit into that in some way as well.

Good to know! An integrated newsletter would be a nice feature, too. I know that Subscribe2 lets you send messages to everyone who’s signed up for your posts, although I don’t know if it’s as structured as a newsletter. Also, you can receive something as a digest.

But I’m a little hesitant to use it because wp-members is a lot more versatile, it just requires the manual syncing. And one thing that can be really annoying to readers is having to sign up twice on the same site, you know? Even if it’s for clearly different services.

any update on this integration or new newsletter functionality? If WP-Members provided newsletter functionality, I assume standard registration page would allow the member to “subscribe” and “unsubscribe”.
