First off, this plugin works excellent. Thanks Chad. Second, I apologize if this has been covered before - searched and didn't see a title that resembled what I'm looking for. If so, please point me to thread.

What I'm wondering is - is it possible to add just one line or dropdown menu, where a new member has to choose an occupation or title? I've got a list of 18 occupations within an industry that I'd like to have a new user check or fill-in when registering on the site. Mainly for my own tracking of what type of industry member is using/signing up on the site.

It wouldn't need to be saved within "Users" section, just included in the inital admin email.

I read the page about checkbox capability but i'm not sure that it works?

Sorry for the delayed response. This subject has been emailed to me before, but I don't think it's ever been discussed in the forum...

There isn't direct support for dropdowns in the plugin. That is something that could be customized, but customizations do put you in the situation of needing to repeat them in order to upgrade.

I am working on a formal process of implementing hacks/customizations that will make upgrading easier and also a more definitive guide to doing commonly requested customizations such as this.

The easiest way to implement a dropdown would be to hardcode in the dropdown html and use a php conditional statement in the registration function to display it where you want it. I'm not sure how much php you know but I don't think that would be major surgery. At some point, I think I'll have a formal tutorial on this (as I mentioned above).

    Hope that helps.

Dropdown and radio button support has been added to the project list. No ETA as of yet, but now that 2.5.0 has been released, I will begin working on the next set of projeccts. Thanks for the suggestion.
