I am trying to find a way to modify the registration form. I know nothing about css or php so anything you have that can help would be appreciated.

That's a pretty tall order if you know nothing about css or php...

If you get in to make mods to the php files directly, then any changes you make will be overwritten when you upgrade, so it's a best practice to steer clear of that whenever possible. (That is true of WP itself, plugins, and themes...)

I would suggest starting by learning css. There are certainly plenty of tutorials available on the Internet. You can also probably find a great many books on the subject.

The existing forms can be modified significantly with CSS, which requires no changes to the core of the plugin. A good place to start would be following the instructions in this post: http://butlerblog.com/2011/07/25/customize-the-wp-members-stylesheet/
