yep. maybe you have an static cache; how Super Cache or you are logged in and all logged in users with enough rights see the frontend, not the maintenance page.

Hi Frank, do i understand correctly that once this plugin is installed the people that come to the site will see the maintenance mode page in stead of my websites front page? When I go to the site and click on one of the pages in the menu it does show the maintenance page. I just want all the people that come to the site to see only the maintenance page for the front page. Thanks for all you do.

<es, the people see allways the maintenance mode page; but you set excludes in the options. Only the users, there can logged in, see the frontend after login. You can set on setings, which user role can login in.
