Support » Plugin: LightStart - Maintenance Mode, Coming Soon and Landing Page Builder » [Plugin: WP Maintenance Mode] Doesn't seem to be working as intended

  • Not quite sure of version, it may be 2.9.1, but the problem I’m having is the reason I’m not sure of the version.

The instant I activated this plugin it coughed up a 500 Server Error. All of my site is now coughing up a 500 Server Error, including the admin area, so I can’t actually do anything with the site, including deactivating the plugin. Areas of the site that don’t run WordPress work normally.

I’m not sure what’s going on because no one else seems to have had this problem and I can’t think of a reason why this would happen only on my site.

Update: I’m starting to suspect an incomplete install by WordPress 2.9’s built-in plugin installer, because after going into phpMyAdmin to deactivate all my plugins, when I tried to delete WP Maintenance Mode from within the admin interface it threw up another 500 Server Error, and I had to delete the plugin manually be deleting its folder.

the plugin has many files, maybe to big for your server. The delete and install functions in wp admin use more RAM of the server as the normal work. You can check your RAM aor give more RAM for the webspace.
