I get the following message when I activate the plug-in:
The plugin generated 175 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal. It's not a problem. Ideally, it would not appear, but I haven't yet tracked down what causes the problem. I believe it's related to an issue in WordPress, but I might be wrong.
You can safely ignore this error message.

This thread is slightly dated, but I also had this error occur. I'm using GoDaddy's shared hosting platform. I haven't had this impact the performance of the plugin, however.
Note: I've tried it on other hosts (e.g. my own server) and have used the plugin without receiving the error.
