  • From the documentation:

How do I create a thumbnail gallery?
Upload images to a post (see previous question) and use WordPress’ built-in gallery shortcode: [gallery link="file"]

Note the link=”file” – this is crucial! By default the gallery will link your humbnails to a page displaying your image. With link=”file” the thumbnails links directly to the image files – allowing Lightbox to function.

WP jQuery Lightbox has nothing to do with the shape of your thumbnails. Check your theme.

I read that, but I’m still confused.

If an image that has been uploaded to a page (I’m not using posts) is titled, say, “roadtrip” , then the code I use should look like this?

    [gallery link="roadtrip"]

This is what I did for my uploaded picture, and it first took me to the nested page, before being able to click and open the lightbox-style, darkened background image.

OK, I think I figured it out.

Another question: is there a way to create folders, each containing a series of thumbnails?

    Never mind. Figured it out.

I haven’t figured it out – I can’t get my images to show up as thumbnails – what am I doing wrong?
