  • Hi Josh.

    Tried the “Force download” option?

    Kind regards.

You can add target=”_blank” to file templates.

I already tried this, but no solution. Where do I have to add the target? Somewhere in WP Filebase options / templates?
    Unfortunately I have absolutely no clue…. 🙁

Thanks in advance & best regards,

    Stefan

I am trying to do the same thing, I would like the file to open in a new tab or window, I have tried editing template but I am obviously not in the right place as it is not working. I am adding the file to a post using the ‘file url’ method. my shortcode is

    [wpfilebase tag=fileurl id=1 linktext=’Pack for Jail’ /]

    Hey Fabi, great plugin!

I too am hoping you will be able to add the option for new window…

Went into the File Templates and added the target=”_blank” code in all the likely locations where I would normally place this command and it does not work.

Can you be more specific? Do we have to create a totally separate line for that command? There are 3 locations in the code where we have the and I changed them all with no result.

    Thanks!
