Does it work on multisite? (4 posts)

Hi and thank you for your plugin,

I canNOT seem to find any mentions about multisites. Does it have that functionality? If yes:

    1. Do we network activate it? Does it make any difference if we network-ctivate it on a blog-to-blog basis?
    2. What kind of limitations are there for site admins in the above cases?
    3. How does it behave with mapped domains?

It looks very promising and would love to test it.
    Thanks again

It was tested some versions ago and should still work. Each blog has its own filebase directory by default, but it also works with the same upload path for all blogs. You just have to sync on all other blogs when adding or deleting a file, because each blog has its own file database.

Fabian, can you elaborate on how wp-filebase works with Multi-site? I have configured the plug-in separately on two sites (subdirectory multi-site install) and can see the files I uploaded to test on the designated page for each site. Each site shows its own files only. However, looking at the uploads folder, all the files are in there, with only the categories showing up as folders.

I assume that the database keeps track of what file is connected to what site. That's fine with the built-in uploader, but what if you use FTP or some other mechanism to put files onto the system? How does the database update function (set for each hour I think) deal with this, since it would evidently not know how to associate any new files with multiple sites?

    Can you clarify? Thanks!
