Hi,
When viewing the product, the thumbnail is automatically cropped to a square (this is the problem) and then stretched to the specs I set. The specs are fine, but not when the thumbnail is a square and thus becomes distorted. I've tried re-uploading the image, and while it looks fine in the admin area, it doesn't appear correctly on the products' page.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks.

Yes, without having access to your site and without knowing the specifics of your server I would suggest using the manual crop tool :)
Best,
Dan
That's the thing, I don't want to crop it at all. It's automatically cropping the thumbnail to a square when I want it to stay in its normal state which is rectangular.
You can see what I mean here: http://www.enchantedshoebox.com/products-page/heavenly-heels/
Thanks.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I've found where it crops in the PHP source, but would prefer not to have custom file in case the client upgrade the plugin.
Just set the width and height to be the right aspect ratio in the product group settings and/or the individual product settings and everything should work fine... What's the problem you're having?

I'm having the same problem and it's driving me crazy!
When I select 'Use separate thumbnail' on the individual Product's page in the WP E-commerce Admin area, I select and upload the thumbnail, yet it still automatically crops the thumbnail and it ends up looking like crap.
I've had so many problems with WP E-commerce that I would never again use it on a shopping site, so check out something else if you're thinking of going with this plugin.

Here's another "me-too" post.
areimann - Where is it? I have no problem with customizing the plugin for the client I'm working on right now... and she desperately needs it.
I need the thumbs made with the longer dimension scaled to 150 and the image NOT cropped. I can likely do the code myself, but knowing where to look would save me the time of reading through everything.

Wow...sorry I missed this. I really wish I could get notified when someone posts on a thread.
Same issues here. Has anyone found a resolution to this?
