I'm currently using version 3.6.12 of WP e-commerce and I can't get flat rate shipping to work. I would like to have a different shipping amount for each product and I've set up these flat rate values for each product, but wp e-commerce isn't passing these values to PayPal. Any ideas?

Find another solution or hire a php programmer. You will never get a response from Instinct. Great idea for a plugin but too many small issues keep popping up.
I had the exact same problem, and I never found a fix. So I tried an alternative.
WP-ecommerce has a ton of bugs right out of the box, and unless you have some coding skills, you're kinda screwed. Try using shopplugin.net. It's way more user friendly and a lot less buggy, also if you need help, shopp has it's own forum where users gladly help one another. You do have to pay for it though, it's $55 for a single user license. In my opinion it's well worth the money. I'd first ask Jon (shopp plugin author) if you could get a demo so that you can install it and make sure it works for you. Good stuff ;)
Just my 2 cents.

Shopp people are not very responsive, and PayPal Standard isn't integrating well. The button doesn't show up. The forums show a workaround, but it didn't work for me.
On WP-ecommerce: friendlier people, though my thumbnails are not showing, and I can't find a way to fix it.
