[resolved] Organize files and limit access by departments (2 posts)

    Hello,

    I need to set up an intranet for file sharing between different departments.

    Files are organized by departments and only members of their department can access files.

    Also files must be organized by folders, but I suppose tags can do the trick.

    I have installed Edit Flow and I haven't managed to achieve this. Seems only the owner of the file is capable of view the file...

    Any idea of how to achieve this? Any other plugin different from Edit Flow?

    Take a look at either Members or Role Scoper Plugins. You'll want to create a custom taxonomy for the departments and assign permissions accordingly. Not part of Document Revisions or Edit Flow itself, but pretty easy to do with WordPress.
